DID YOU KNOW that the Syracuse Nationals, the former NBA team in Syracuse, NY were the NBA champs in 1955? A few years later, in 1963, they were sold and moved to Philadelphia, where they became the Seventy-Sixers. The 76ers went on to become champs in their new city – in 1967.
